Site Description The intact hull of the Eber Ward sits upright on the bottom where you can see the gash in the bow that sank her. The cabins are gone but the engine and machinery are extant on site including the fore-and-aft double expansion steam engine, boiler, a mushroom anchor, two iron stock anchors, three capstans (one inside stern), anchor windlass, rudder, tiller, propeller, stack (off starboard side mid-ship), two bath tubs (one on the bottom port side forward), a toilet (on deck). There are also three fore-and-aft shafts driven by a small steam engine that run the length of the cargo area that formed an unloading system. The engine room walls are collapsed but the interior of the stern, engine and boiler area is visible in the model.
