Site Description  The Ironsides hull is splayed out flat but the machinery is still intact as well as part of the deck. It appears to have been single decked as there is only a single row of knees. It ports two unique firebox boilers, twin low pressure single expansion steam engines, and twin propellers. The runner is displaced but extant on site. It does not have a typical quadrant but a tiller with side braces. The boilers have vertical steam drums, and heat scavenging jackets around the twin stacks. It also had two hogging arches that have since collapse inward. There is a small steam engine between and above the boilers with a shaft that terminates in a universal joint. It appears to have driven an unloading shaft that probably ran the length of the deck. No windass or anchors are visible on site.
