Site Description The Rouse Simmons is a double centerboard schooner site with a substantially intact hull and foremast which lies on the bottom forward of the hull. The aft cabin and decking is mostly gone exposing the deck beams and hatch coamings. Both centerboard trunks are intact and visible. Ship features include foremast with intact top and fastening for the rafeee yard, boom and gaff, windlass, two catheads, sheet winch, rudder with the steering gear. The booms, gaffs and pieces of the main and mizzen are on the port side and scattered inside of the ship. Remnants of the cargo of Christmas trees are also visible in the hold.
