Site Description The Lumberman is one of several double centerboard schooners in Wisconsin waters. The hull is very intact including the bulwark although deeply embedded in the lake bottom. The hull is broken on the port bow, transom, and port side near the stern. Much of the decking is gone but sections survive that surround the mast holes. The deck framing and hatch coamings are still extant. Machinery, structures and artifacts extant on site includes the top of the rudder post, bilge pump, deadeyes, many bitts, the lower portion of the mizzen mast, two centerboard trunks, one cathead, and the windlass (although covered in debris).
