Site Description Most of the deck and starboard side of the Tacoma have collapsed and the cabin is gone but the machinery is very intact. Both the stem and stern are somewhat intact. The machinery extant on site is a double expansion steam engine, Scotch Boiler, four-blade propeller and shaft, rudder with steering quadrant, towing bitts, and various broken pipes and control members. In the intact port side deck are two coal scuttles. Forward of the boiler is an unusual steam driven mechanism assumed to be a winch. The starboard legs of the mechanism are broken and the whole mechanism has toppled forward.
