Site Description The mostly intact hull of the sloop sits upright and partially buried in the bottom with a 38 ft mast still standing. The trestletrees and a crosstree on the mast are visible. Most of the deck is gone but an anchor windlass still sits on the deck. The port cathead is still extant on site but no anchor is visible.  There is one cargo hatch and a deck opening aft that appears to be where a recessed cabin sat. There is a large curved tiller and rudder extant. There are two heavy structural beams protruding from the transom which have been interpreted as potentially as a part of a stern castle but the opening in the aft deck would seem to contradict that along with the height of the tiller, which one would assume would need to reach the top of the cabin. One candidate for the identity of the wreck is Etta, a sloop that sank in the area in 1856.
