Site Description – Only a portion of the schooner Wings of the Wind still exists. The bow is somewhat intact although the deck planking is missing. The rachet style windlass is still extant and both rachet arms and handles are extant on site. The centerboard trunk is visible although the top is gone. Most of the aft portion of the ship is buried or gone except the stern post and a portion of the port side of the ship. Near the bow lies pieces of a mast.
